The North Side

The Kilbourn Avenue bridge is under renovation. The importance of this bridge is evidenced by the four control towers, the ornate deign and the fact the street was named after one of the three founding fathers of Milwaukee.

The renovation is scheduled for completion in Fall 2008.

No, the sky is not pink in Milwaukee and I promise I will have a new camera to document this bridge when the renovation is complete.

The Southeast Control Tower

It looks like the south side urn railing matching to the north side of the street did not fare as well. It will be interesting to see what replaces it.
