"The Ferndale Road Bridge is one of the State's longest remaining examples of a Pratt overhead truss bridge. It was built shortly before the advent of the standardized construction methods of the State Highway Commission. The bridge is an excellent example of the design and construction practices of larger bridge fabricators of the period."
