Lost Closed-spandrel arch bridge over Lake Orion Canal on Bellevue Avenue in Lake Orion
Location
Lake Orion, Oakland County, Michigan
Status
Replaced by new bridge
History
Replaced 1998
Builder
- Stokes & Whittingham
Design
"The Belleview Road Bridge is an earth-filled reinforced concrete arch bridge, consisting of a single arch span and reinforced concrete abutments.

"The Bellevue Road Bridge was completed at the time that Bellevue Island changed from a vacation community of seasonal cottages to a year-round settlement, reflecting the decline of Lake Orion as a resort area. The design of this bridge, with its massive concrete railings, reflects an attempt to produce an aesthetically-pleasing structure."
