We are puzzled how the HAER report can say subsequent work on the bridge was performed in 1989, yet the NBI says the bridge was replaced in 1988. Was the bridge reconstructed? Or replaces? The City Engineer for Norton Shores reports that the bridge was, in fact, replaced.

The bridge will be widened to accomodate increased vehicular traffic.

"Ayres, Lewis, Norris and May, Inc. or Ann Arbor, Michigan has prepared Contract Documents for the reconstruction. ALNM is also repsonsible for the HAER documentation of the structure."
